Good News..... Maybe
So about a week ago I went to the Columbus toy show in Columbus ohio. Pretty good event, gi joe and random action figures all over the place. Picked up some great items and random fodder parts. Guys with huge bins of loose figures for $3 a piece, and tubs of weapons all assorted by colors. The best part of the day was meeting up with "Nova" who you will see sometimes on the boards. This guy is great. He was a vendor there and had his own booth with tons of ARAH stuff. The other great thing about him is that he is a fellow ARAH lover and customizer. He had some of his work there on display and for sale. Awsome stuff. He actually is into Mold casting and has some great ARAH cast parts. Parts that I have never seen before. You guys really need to look this guys up. he has a ton of great items. I got some great items from him and he gave me a deal. He did this gem https://www.og13.com/forums/showthread.php?4410-Toxic-Water-Zartan-ARAH-Custom-Cast-Collaboration-(pic-heavy)
Anyway I got to talking to him about everything that was going on at slayer design studios with all the figures that nobody got, like python. I informed him that there are still a lot of collectors out there like us that need / want more arah cast things. HE then told me that he personally knows Dave from slayer and that he has/ will be in talks with him about taking over his operation and molds. If you guys don't remember, slayer design studios is the place where a lot of awesome arah molds came from. He said he wanted to basically take over that and start fresh and release some of the great items that were once drooled over. So hopefully this happens and we once again can start seeing new items in the near future.

Nova is a great guy, an ARAH guy all the way. He's responsible for casting my Cobra Blue Beret Commando custom kit. I've been working with him making and sending him parts to be cast for us...
Re: Good News..... Maybe
That sounds great Kramer. Krexx did awesome sculpts for us the ARAH customizers that went into oblivion.
Guys.... would you think an ARAH Kickstarter would work?

I think a ARAH kickstarter would be great. Do you guys recall the pics of the ARAH zombie that slayer dave posted a few years back. I told Nova that if he was to get anything get the torso and head to that zombie figure. Ohhh the customizing capabilities that would come from that.

Yeah, I remember that zombie head/torso combo that Dave showed us. It looked great. I can't seem to find the pictures of it that he posted.
Call me a cynical bastard but an ARAH kickstarter would fail. There's just too few of us and even though there are people who are "fans" of ARAH stuff, I don't see them wanting spending their hard-earned money on us. It might have a slight chance for success if it were a new line of action figures like what Marauder Inc. is doing. That would bring in not only action figure customizers but action figure fans and collectors in general. The closest thing we ever got to getting an all new ARAH-style action figure line was SK Omega but we all know what happened with that. Too bad Kickstarter didn't exist when they were trying to get that going because it probably would've gotten funded.
Just my two cents...

Nova is not only super-talented, but he's got business sense, too. A lot of guys who do casting seem to get in over their heads (everybody likes custom parts!). I'd love to see Nova get the rights to do anything that's left from the Slayer Project ARAH!
Re: Good News..... Maybe
YEa if you guys have time send NOVA a PM about the interest in his talents from this group. HE has heard it from myself but I think if more ppl talk to him about it he might be more apt to pursue things with slayerdave.

I can personally couch for Nova from Joe Customs. I have purchased from at least 3 times and have traded with him too.
Great communication, fast ship and professional. All the casts were clean.
If he can get the molds, I will throw money at him.

I would suggest moving the sprue point on the waist into the belt area on the side. It's easier to hide under paint when the final casts are trimmed.
