New ARAH style heads
Sorry these took so long to upload! Here are the heads I was able to get from the Angel Forge...
I think that these two bald guys look like the Hard and Soft Masters, and I will be using those heads to make customs of them both next.
Kinda looks like that comic character The Darkness
Orc!
Robo-J.O.E.?
Reminds me of one of the Goblin characters from the Spider-Man books
Some random looking guys...
Here are some that I found from an ebay seller; these apparently came from the Slayer Studio
Magnus
Zombie!
Iron Klaw (I almost have my ARAH version of this character finished)
Battle Damaged B.A.T.

I envy you. Those are some interesting sculpts. I can see the Winter Soldier there. However I gotta ask: are they small as the VvV style heads or are more like the ARAH size?

Re: New ARAH style heads
They are a good size for ARAH, and some of them are actually really large in scale, but I was told that most of them were designed for the VvV era, as are most of the torsos the Forge offers.
I've been working on lots of diorama stuff lately, which I think has improved my painting a little bit, so I have not been working much on Custom Figures. I have been grinding for new ARAH custom parts lately as well, and I must say I am happy with what I have accumulated.
It is getting harder and harder to find new custom pieces for our beloved ARAH figures...I cherish what I am able to find.

Re: New ARAH style heads
I love those heads! I wish they would sell them.
The torsos Angelforge offers are great but without heads to match I am hesitant to purchase any more of the torsos only because I don't know what VvV or Arah heads the torsos were meant for. I wonder if they had certain heads in mind to go with the torsos. If they were to offer some of the heads they currently offer for ME style in Arah/VvV style, and for a good price, I would buy the crap out of them. All the ME style crap just makes me sick because there are some amazing sculpts in there but they are made for those terrible, long torso, tiny headed, lanky limbed monstrosities that are ME/25th/POC/ROC/add-whatever-modern-anacronym figures.
If Angelforge were to make a head adapter...oh man...I would be poor quick; that is of course if the heads didn't look like some voodoo priest shrunk them when placed on an Arah body.

This is the real problem with those sculpts. A neck adaptor or adaptation would be no major problem. I will invite Krexx to join this site to discuss with us any posibility of having new ARAH parts.

It would be great if you could get KREXX here with us. Hopefully we can work something out with him for some more sculpted ARAH parts...Rambo wrote:

Re: New ARAH style heads
Update: just got a new user, Krexx!
One thing that's tricky with O-ring figures is to update them and keep the aesthetic. Modern heads are scaled smaller and just have a different look. Sure, some of the O-ringers are "bobbleheaded", but along with rivets and backscrews, that's part of the package. You size the head appropriately without making them comic pack pinheaded, which might be more in-scale but don't look right on the bodies.

Re: New ARAH style heads
I never really noticed the smaller heads on the comic pack figures until it was pointed out to me. I will not be able to look past most of the tiny heads on the new sculpt era though...the proportions for that era of Joe were all over the damned place.
I have been able to find some neck adapters to use modern era heads on ARAH bodies, and for the most part they look alright...until someone points out to me that they are really small

Re: New ARAH style heads
Sorry I have not been that available lately. My Mom just died and things are really fucking sucking a whole lot lately. But it makes me happy that this community is still alive and kicking!
Here's the neck adapters. They work pretty good but sometimes give a long necked look.
Sorry for the crummy, small photo. I am at work right now so I just pulled the image from the old ebay auction I won for these neck adapters and it's not the best. When I get home I will take more photos.
The only problem I have with them aside from the whole occasional goose neck is that some of the neck balls are really soft, like they are totally hollow. I feel like they are just going to tear off if I try taking the head off, or they sort of deflate when I try to put a head on.

Re: New ARAH style heads
I had Baron Ironblood becoming Iron Claw rather than Cobra Commander. When the opportunity arose, he abandoned the Red Shadows to assasinate Count Von Rani, the ruler of M'klavia and take his place. Now having access to a larger budget he established SKAR and tried a new campagin of terror, only to be defeated by GI Joe's special task force codnamed "Extreme"
When The Black Major staged a coup of M'klavia, he punished Ironblood for abandoning the Red Shadows by brainwashing him and handing him over to Cobra Commander as a gift. Iron Claw was made the commander of Cobras CLAW troops. Now the Shoadows and Cobra are trade allies

I think I have a few of those that I got in some fodder I picked up.
At least the Soft Master, Orc, Trap Jaw looking guy, and the one that looks like Ron Pearlman from 'Enemy at the Gates'.

I was thinking that one looked like Ron Pearlman myself.
